Does it really sound like me?
It is made from your own recording, so the closer that recording is to how you talk in a reel, the closer the copy. Talk naturally in a quiet room with your phone close. You hear your voice before any reel uses it, and you can record again whenever you like.
What do I need to record?
About a minute of you talking: 30 seconds at least, 45 to 60 is best. No script. Talk about what you do, who you help and a recent win. Record in the app, upload a recording, or pick one of your Instagram videos where you talk.
Who can use my voice?
Only your own reels. Before the voice is made you read one line out loud saying it is your voice, and tick a box confirming it. If you run more than one brand, Ootto asks you before using it on the others.
Can I clone someone else's voice?
Only with their permission. The consent line is read out loud in the voice being copied, so the person whose voice it is takes part.
Which languages does it speak?
Record one voice for each language your reels are in, talking naturally in that language. The app offers English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic and many more. Spoken Hindi and Urdu share one voice. A reel in a language you have not recorded is spoken in your main voice.
Can I stop using it, or delete it?
Yes. You can switch your reels back to a stock voice at any time. To have your recording and your voice deleted, email [email protected].
Which plans include it?
Self-serve, Starter and Done-for-you. The Weekly plan does not include voice cloning.
Does it work in Claude?
Yes. Once your voice is saved, reels you make with Ootto in Claude speak in it too. Ask Claude to clone your voice and it sends you the link to record.
