For anyone posting every day and watching nothing move: the number of reels was never our problem.
In August we posted reels on 29 of the 31 days, 69 reels in all, on our own account @jayantcreates.ai. The median reel got 1,651 views.
In September we kept the same pace, 64 reels. The median reel got 3,486 views, and total reel views went from 181,960 to 1,023,355.
Same account, same pace, same tools. What changed was which reels we posted.

Every number on this page comes from the account's own Instagram Insights, read on 9 October 2026. Older reels have had longer to collect views, which makes the early months look better than they were, not worse.
Posting every day: what a month of it actually did
August was our posting every day month. Two reels most days, sometimes four, each one a new idea.
It did not grow anything.
- 69 reels went out on 29 of 31 days.
- The median reel got 1,651 views. Half did worse. Two reels from the same day in the middle of the month got 374 and 407.
- Only one reel passed 10,000 views.
- Total reel views for the month, 181,960, were lower than June's, when we posted 26 reels.
Posting more gave Instagram more chances to show something. It did not give it anything better to show.
Instagram says the same thing in its own words. The signals it leans on most for reels are how likely you are to share a reel, watch it to the end, like it, and tap through to its audio (Instagram, May 2023). None of those go up because you posted twice today.
What we changed: we remade the reels that already worked
In September we kept posting new ideas, but we added one habit. Before writing the next new reel, we looked at our own reels that had beaten the account's median and asked one question: what stopped this one from doing better?
Usually it was one thing:
- The words were hard to read. Our connector walkthrough from 5 September had dark captions on dark app screens. We put every caption on a light plate and posted it again. That version has 408,729 views.
- The hook showed the wrong logo. Our reels tutorial from 2 October opened on our own logo. We swapped it for the Claude and Instagram logos people actually recognise, gave it a proper cover, and posted again. That version has 272,444 views.
- The look and the proof had aged. More on that one below.
We also remade a format that had worked for another creator, a Portuguese reel about five free Claude skills, in English and in our own words. Ours has 234,536 views.
Six of our reels passed 100,000 views by 9 October. Four of those six were remakes: three of our own reels posted again with a fix, and one format that had already worked for someone else.
Remaking your own reels is not the same as reposting other people's. Instagram stops recommending accounts that repeatedly post content they did not create or change in a real way (Instagram, April 2024). Every remake above is our own reel, or our own script for a format we studied.
The one remake that went from 4,760 views to 115,905
On 28 August we posted a reel about one Claude skill that makes reels. It got 4,760 views and 643 comments.
That comment count was the tell. Few people saw it, but the ones who did wanted it.
On 25 September we posted it again. Same idea and the same script, rebuilt with simpler graphics in the look of our best performing reel, and a newer proof line.

The remake has 115,905 views, 8,923 comments, 2,723 shares and 4,717 saves. We did not need a new idea. We needed the old one to be easier to watch.
Turn the comments into conversations
The remake asked viewers to comment a keyword. Every comment with that keyword got a public reply and a direct message with the link, automatically.
From 26 September to 1 October that one reel sent 2,982 direct messages, one to each person who asked. Across the account, comment to DM has sent 17,960 of them.
A comment you never answer is a lead you never meet. And the three biggest reels of October went out with no keyword wired to them, so their comments got no automatic reply. That is the mistake we are fixing next.

That is the 2 October repost with the fixed hook, 272,444 views. We did not keep the first version's numbers, so we can only show you the fix: the logos in the first second, and the cover.
Do this on your own account with Claude
Connect Ootto to Claude once (every step is in the connector guide), connect your Instagram, and ask:
Show me my own reels that beat my median views, with their hooks.
Ootto reads your posted reels from Instagram and ranks the ones that beat your own median, with the real hook of each.
Make a new version of my best one. Keep the idea, fix the hook so it says who it is for in the first two seconds.
A new reel built from your own winner. Nothing posts until you say yes.
Set up comment-to-DM on the keyword GUIDE for that reel.
Anyone who comments GUIDE gets a public reply and the link in their DMs.
Or let Ootto run it for you
Ootto plans next week from what worked this week, makes the reels, answers the comments, and waits for your yes on each one.

Or do it by hand with free tools
Pull your numbers, find the outliers, watch them frame by frame, fix one thing, post again. This is the stack we used before we built it into Ootto.
2 · Wire it together
Lets an agent make authenticated tool-calls across 1,000+ apps, auth handled for you.
- Sign up at composio.dev and grab an API key from the dashboard
- This one's a Claude Code (terminal) connector - Composio hasn't published a Claude.ai web click-path for it
- Run: claude mcp add --transport http composio-composio "<your Composio MCP URL>" --headers "X-API-Key:<your key>"
- Restart Claude Code (exit, then claude) and confirm with claude mcp list
- First Composio tool call opens a browser link to authorize the Instagram toolkit - Claude then reads comments and posts without you touching tokens
3 · Retention patterns
A Claude skill that lets Claude actually watch a video - frames and transcript aligned on one timeline. This is what finds where people keep watching, and where they leave.
- Claude Code: git clone https://github.com/Ootto-AI/ootto-watch ~/.claude/skills/watch-video
- claude.ai web: zip the folder, add it under Settings -> Capabilities -> Skills
- Then just tell Claude: "watch this video: <url>"
- Downloads via yt-dlp (Instagram, YouTube, X, Vimeo, 1000+ sites), samples key frames with ffmpeg, transcribes with native captions or local faster-whisper
- Pass several URLs at once to compare across them and find the patterns the winners share
4 · Memory
A free, private notes app - your files stay on your machine as plain Markdown.
- Download it (free), create a vault - it's just a folder on your disk
- In Obsidian: Settings -> Community plugins -> Browse -> search "MCP Connector" -> Install -> Enable
- In the plugin's own settings, "Quick setup for clients" -> Download .mcpb and drag it onto Claude Desktop to auto-install (or "Copy config for Claude Desktop" and paste it into Claude Desktop's Settings -> Developer -> Edit Config, then restart)
- Point the skills at that vault so every script is written from your own proven patterns, not a blank page
5 · Render
Render the reel from the script your skills produced (a Node package).
- Scaffold a project: npx create-video@latest --yes --blank my-video, then cd my-video && npm i
- There's no Claude connector that renders for you - Remotion ships Agent Skills instead: npx skills add remotion-dev/skills drops best-practice rules into .claude/skills so Claude writes correct Remotion code
- Drop the script into a composition and render it yourself with npx remotion render <CompositionName> - that mp4 is what you post
6 · Eyes on the internet
Reads and searches Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, and GitHub through one CLI.
- Finds what your niche is actually engaging with, before Claude studies a single reel
7 · The skills - free repo
The Agent Reach and Reel Analyzer logic that turns the data Apify pulls into research you can act on, given away.
- Install as a Claude Code plugin: /plugin marketplace add Ootto-AI/claude-content-skills
- /plugin install claude-content-skills@ootto-content-skills (or clone the repo and run install.sh - both drop the skills into ~/.claude/skills/)
- Run them in order: AI Brain, Agent Reach, Reel Analyzer, Going Viral, Viral Hook Writer, Reel Scripter, Reel Builder, Caption & Hashtags, Comment Responder - or run Content Factory once to chain the whole pipeline for you
